Berms and bacteria: a couple more sources - one of them illustrious

Orrin Pilkey, Emeritus Professor of Geology at Duke University, author of hundreds of papers and books, doyen and uber-guru of all things coastal, has stated his views on the sand berms issue:http://www.nicholas.duke.edu/thegreengrok/sandberms

Pilkey was Robert Young’s PhD supervisor and the two have worked together on a number of projects, including the book *The Rising Sea,*published last year. I’ve quoted Young’s views many times in my posts on the berms issue. And Pilkey was kind enough to link to the first of those posts.
